Rowing across the Atlantic Ocean

Rowing across the Atlantic Ocean

Today at 12:12 UTC the Hungarian extreme adventurer Gábor Rakonczay has left the shores of the Canary Islands not to sail but to row across the Atlantic Ocean!! 🌊

He is going to do this all alone with a boat he designed and built by himself for this mission. The distance, of approximately 2700 nautical miles (5000 km), will take him anywhere between 60 to 80 days to complete!

As you can imagine, the boat is fully packed with the food supplies necessary for his survival, among which he is also bringing with him the Triple Almond Butters of Magosero! 🧡

Gábor lives for such extreme adventures, as he has done this distance several times, one of which made him a World Guinness record holder. Besides, he is an ultra runner with distances of several hundreds of kilometres and led successful but freezingly harsh expeditions on the Antarctica continent and across the Greenland island.

But even for such experienced adventures, each time being out there is totally different and super challenging. We wish him the best so he can reach the other side of the Atlantic safe and sound! 💪💪🙏☀️ Go-go Gábor!!!
